FEP is Superglue
#1
So, bought the Mars 3 in Nov 2023. 85% successful prints since then & I've got through a couple of litres of resin.
About 3 weeks ago, was considering changing the original FEP when it leaked & was forced to replace!
Bought a cheap FEP brand from Amazon- replaced as per the Elegoo video on YouTube with a 5x35x50mm piece of foam. Fail.
Tightened the FEP more- fail.
More slack (15mm in the end). Fail.
Levelled the bed- with & without the tank, different thickness of paper........
Adjusted print settings- bottom exposure, layers, lift etc- fail.
Elegoo sent me a brand new FEP & I tried printing the Rook with different settings. I now have several 1mm thick black discs.
I've tried printing a small object with previous parameters I've successfully printed before- fail.
Nothing sticks to the plate, everything sticks to the FEP.
Next steps- PTFE spray for the FEP & rough the plate
